Schools Across Philadelphia March for Ruby Bridges Day
What an incredible Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day in Philadelphia! For the first time, Safe Routes Philly and Vision Zero PHL coordinated celebrations across the city on Friday November 14, joining students nationwide standing up for justice, kindness, and equity.

This month, we are excited about the return of students to school across Philadelphia. Youth safety is the focus of our Safe Routes Philly program. It is unacceptable that four children are hit by vehicles every week in Philadelphia – Vision Zero and Safe Routes Philly are working to change this.

Each May, we celebrate National Bike Month – a nationwide event that promotes cycling and draws attention to the benefits using a bicycle for both recreation and transportation. During May, the City organizes and participates in many events while also continuing to move forward key multimodal infrastructure projects.

Vision Zero Conference PHL 2025 Explores the Costs of Traffic Safety
Last week, the Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS) and Office of Multimodal Planning (OMP) participated in the Vision Zero Conference PHL 2025 – a day-long event hosted by the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP) and featuring local and nationally-recognized speakers and panelists at Temple University.

Vision Zero Annual Report 2024
The City of Philadelphia Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS) today announced the release of the 2024 Vision Zero Annual Report. This report is part of the commitment by Mayor Cherelle L. Parker’s executive order in March to eliminate all traffic deaths on City of Philadelphia streets.
